POPS-Parents Offering Parents Support

I am a mother of 3 children, one with mental retardation and another one with ADHD, and just now starting to develop seizures. I live in South Carolina in a town by the name of Duncan, out of Spartanburg County.

I am remarried after an 11-year relationship with my children's biological father that ended in divorce.

I am going to strive to help other parents that are going through what I have been through.

Schools do not care about children with special needs, they just want to put them off into their parents hands, and they want to deal with their behaviors the least amount of time that they can.

I finallly got my younger son, with the Mental Retardation in a school that is specifically for students with special needs.

The teachers here are better equipped to handle misbehavior, and it really is working out for the best with my child.

I hope that as a parent to other parents that we can benefit from the relations that we explore as friends here on this site.
